QUEZON CITY — The Certificate in Biblical Studies (CBS) Program has officially opened enrollment for the 2026–2028 academic cycle, welcoming a new batch of students who wish to deepen their knowledge of Sacred Scripture through systematic Catholic biblical formation.

Classes will begin in August 15, 2026, with enrollment continuing until August 8, 2026. The program is open to individuals 18 years old and above, including lay faithful, biblical apostolate animators, catechists, pastoral workers, religious, seminarians, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the Word of God.

Now in its fourth year of mission of biblical formation, the CBS Program offers a comprehensive curriculum spanning four semesters over two years. Students receive instruction from some of the country’s leading Catholic biblical scholars, combining academic excellence with faith formation rooted in the teaching and life of the Church.

The program is jointly offered by the Diocesan Shrine of Jesus the Divine Word, in partnership with the Diocese of Cubao Biblical Apostolate (DOCBA), the Catholic Biblical Association of the Philippines (CBAP), and Christ the King Mission Seminary.

“The study of Sacred Scripture is a lifelong journey of encountering Christ through the Word of God. We warmly invite everyone who desires to deepen their faith and understanding of the Bible to become part of our growing community of learners as we begin another academic year,” said Rev. Fr. Randy Flores, SVD, rector of Shrine of Jesus the Divine Word and Director of the Biblical Apostolate in the Diocese of Cubao.

To make biblical formation more accessible, the program is offered in a hybrid learning format, with classes held simultaneously onsite and online. Students residing near the venue may attend face-to-face classes at Christ the King Mission Seminary in Quezon City, while participants from the provinces and abroad may join virtually.

The program fee is ₱7,000 per semester with discount for those in diocese’s biblical apostolate and early bird registrants.

Enrollment is now ongoing.
